TESHIKAGA TRAIL CLUB (TTC)
Fundamental Principles
Create walking trails and foster walking culture and the spirit of hospitality of locals to contribute to the happiness of residents and hikers.
The fundamental principles of this organization are to create walking trails in Teshikaga and other areas in Eastern Hokkaido, and to foster walking culture and the spirit of hospitality of locals for hikers. We plan, research, develop and maintain trails that connect region to region, and promote regional cooperation. We reaffirm local resources including nature, history and culture, and promote the conservation and wise use of nature. Through interaction of visitors with locals, we will contribute to revitalization and tourism in the region. We learn from the wisdom of our ancestors who coexisted with the rich natural environment of the area, and raise awareness of sustainable development, thereby preserving the resources for future generations.
